Jeanie will join our lineup of speakers to discuss practical strategies for improving public health and community wellness through collaboration, equity, and actionable solutions.

We invite public health students, advocates, educators, colleagues and NHPHA members to join us for an evening of information and encouragement on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 5 pm-8 pm at the McAuliffe-Shephard Discovery Center in Concord, NH.

In this time of rapid change and uncertainty, our public health landscape demands adaptability, equity-driven solutions, and strong collaborative networks. Recognizing the current challenges faced by New Hampshire public health professionals, the NH Public Health Association’s 2025 Annual Meeting program focuses on practical strategies for fostering resilience, equity, and meaningful connections.

This year’s event, themed “Navigating Uncertainty: Building Resilience in Public Health in New Hampshire,” will focus on the critical role of collaboration in advancing health equity. Our Annual Meeting program kicks off with student poster presentations and light refreshments, followed by a moderated panel discussing the positive impact collaborations have had on work to promote and protect health equity. Our time together will wrap-up with connection and conversation to identify and celebrate opportunities to collaborate on behalf of the health of everyone who lives, works, and plays in NH.

The panel discussion, a centerpiece of the evening, will bring together some of the state’s most respected voices in public health and policy. Speakers will include Kate Frey, Vice President of Advocacy at New Futures; Jo Porter, Chief Strategy Officer at the Center for Justice & Equity; and Sally Kraft, MD, MPH, and Chelsey Canavan, PhD, of the Dartmouth Center for Advancing Rural Health Equity.

The event will also feature an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding student work and honoring public health champions from around the state. New this year is a closing “Community Conversation,” a participatory segment designed to spark discussion about what’s working, what’s not, and how New Hampshire’s public health community can support one another during uncertain times.
