Join Us for the NHPHA 2025 Annual Meeting: Navigating Uncertainty

The New Hampshire Public Health Association’s  (NHPHA)  2025 Annual Meeting, themed "Navigating Uncertainty: Building Resilience in Public Health in New Hampshire," will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord, NH. We hope you can join us.

Highlights

  • Student Poster Presentations: The evening begins with a showcase of public health research and programs by emerging professionals across New Hampshire. Come meet the future of our field and engage with fresh perspectives.

  • Moderated Panel Discussion: This year’s panel will focus on the critical role of collaboration in advancing health equity. Panelists will explore real-world examples of how partnerships across sectors are helping communities adapt and respond to complex public health challenges. Speakers will include Kate Frey, Vice President of Advocacy at New Futures; Jo Porter, Chief Strategy Officer at the Center for Justice & Equity; and Sally Kraft, MD, MPH, and Chelsey Canavan, PhD, of the Dartmouth Center for Advancing Rural Health Equity.

  • Networking and Recognition: Cap off the evening with a chance to reconnect with peers, celebrate shared successes, and explore new opportunities for collective impact.

NEW: Community Conversation: Supporting Public Health Now

This year’s meeting will also include a unique segment we’re calling the “Community Conversation.” This informal, real-time discussion invites all present—students, professionals, and advocates alike—to reflect on what’s working in public health, what’s not, and how we can all support each other moving forward.

In a time of growing challenges—from rising healthcare costs and workforce shortages to legislative uncertainty—we believe it’s essential to open space for real dialogue. What are your biggest concerns in 2025? What programs or partnerships are helping your community thrive? And what do we, as a public health community, need most to stay resilient?

Whether you’re commuting from Manchester, the North Country, or just down the road, we hope this discussion gives voice to the lived experience of Granite Staters working on the front lines of public health.
