About Our Keynote Speakers

We are extremely fortunate to have two powerhouse keynote speakers lined up for Team Up, Take Action: Partnering for Health Equity. Both are subject experts and inspiring.

Camara JonesCamara P. Jones, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D. is a family physician and epidemiologist whose work focuses on the impacts of racism on the health and well-being of the nation. She seeks to broaden the national health debate to include not only universal access to high quality health care, but also attention to the social determinants of health (including poverty) and the social determinants of equity (including racism).

Dr. Jones is the immediate past president of the American Public Health Association.

James WeinsteinJames Weinstein, D.O., M.S., chaired the Committee on Community-Based Solutions to Promote Health Equity in the United States for the National Academy of Sciences that produced the report Communities in Action: Pathways to Health Equity published January 2017. He is the former CEO and President of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System; Professor of Orthopaedics; Professor of Health Policy and Clinical Practice; and holder of the Peggy Y. Thomson endowed chair in the Evaluative Clinical Sciences.
