Powdered Alcohol and Public Health

We've been receiving inquiries about public health's position on powdered alcohol as the legislature debates the creation of a committee to study whether the sale of powdered alcohol should be banned outright or regulated in New Hampshire.  While the public health community may not have an official stance at this point, the concerns about the danger of powdered alcohol are substantial and incredibly worrisome.  New Futures recently published a blog post describing some of those concerns, which include how easily consumers can ingest the product at a quicker rate matched with our incredibly high rate of teen drinking (one of the highest in the nation).  To read more of Sarah Sadowski's post, click here.
