 Joan Ascheim webBOD Joan Ascheim, NHPHA Interim Executive Director holds a Master’s Degree in nursing from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University and has practiced in public health for over thirty years. She served in a variety of public health leadership positions, including the Maternal and Child Health Bureau Chief, the Administrator for Family and Community Health Services, Chief for the Bureau of Policy and Performance Management, the Senior Deputy for the New Hampshire Division of Public Health Services, and is a former President of NHPHA. Most recently prior to her position at NHPHA, she served as the Performance Improvement Manager for the Connecticut Department of Public Health where she was instrumental in assisting the department to achieve national accreditation.

 Beth DOvidio webBOD

Beth D’Ovidio
is semi-retired and currently serves as the part-time NHPHA Program Assistant. Ms. D’Ovidio has over 30 years experience as a generalist in Communications and Public Relations in the private, public, and non-profit sectors – 12 years in public health communications at the executive level. Ms. D’Ovidio is particularly skilled in the area of branding, having successfully assisted two organizations complete a re-naming and re-branding process. Her experience also includes planning and implementing legislative advocacy campaigns. She has knowledge and experience in development including grant writing, conducting annual giving campaigns and securing private donations.
