Annual MeetingThe Annual Meeting takes place in April during National Public Health Week. It is an opportunity for the Association to conduct annual business including changes in the bylaws and announcing the election of new officers and members of the Board of Directors. There is a theme for the event and a guest speaker who speaks on a topic relevant to the theme. At the Annual Meeting the Association also presents three awards:
The Friend of Public Health Award is presented to a person or group who has been instrumental in practicing and promoting public health in the State. The Roger Fossum Award is given in memory of the State's first Chief Medical Examiner who died in 1994. This is a "lifetime achievement award" that is presented to a senior public health individual who has made significant contributions to public health throughout their career. The Presidential Achievement Award is presented by the out going President. |
Fall ForumEach year the Association holds a Fall Forum. Held in October, this conference presents information on a variety of timely public health topics, and provides the opportunity for networking among New Hampshire public health practitioners. The Fall Forum features a Keynote Address by a prominent, national figure in the public health arena, as well as several Session Speakers from New Hampshire and throughout New England who are actively engaged in public health activities. |
